I'm a couple days late in getting this out, but better late than never I guess. I just wanted to give a shout out to the people who showed up this past Thursday to the Columbus Geek Dinner:

• Steven Dewalt, Architect, Nationwide
• James Avery, Owner/Solution Architect, Infozerk
• Justin Pitts, Lead Technical Analyst, Big Lots
• Brian Sherwin, Owner, SureWin Solutions

We all just kind of hung out of the food court for awhile getting to know each other and basically talking about whatever came to mind. It was especially nice for me because it allowed me to put a face to a couple of names who read this blog. Once we had adjourned for the eve, myself, Andy, and his wife met up with Steven at a local tavern and downed a few beers. Overall, I say it was a good time had by all.

I know there were a couple other people who wanted to come but couldn't, so don't fret, there will be plenty more of these. Since this one was during the week, I'll try to the next one on a Saturday and see what kind of turnout we get with that. Plus, I think more people are apt to hit the bars during the weekend than in the week (except losers like Andy, Steven, and myself :-)
