I love this time of year. The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's is one of my favorite times. Why? Well, there's the obvious reasons of course: some time off work, more time with the family, playing more Xbox, etc, etc.
But it's also because I get to work on some side projects and other things I normally don't get to do. Most of this time is spent coding and playing with some beta software. For instance, there are two side projects I've been stewing about for months now, and I'm finally putting some work into them and making progress. Sitting on the couch coding/debugging/testing while my kids watch Harry Potter movies is fantastic.
All good developers always have one or two little (or not so little) side projects going on. Is this also the time of year you get to work on them?
