On my new project we're going to be using SQL Server 2005 so as I'm watching game 2 of the
NLCS tonight, I figured I'd finally install it. I need to use it side-by-side with SQL Server 2000, which will work just fine as long as you use a named instance for the SQL Server 2005 install (if you try to install SQL Server 2005 on your SQL Server 2000 instance it will perform an upgrade).
The install was nice and smooth and I immediately fell in love with the new Management Studio, especially since it can manage both SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases seamlessly. In using it I realized this is what the old Enterprise Manager should have been. Nothing but goodness.
