Finally, we are able to tell everyone that Beta 1 of Community Server 2008 is now available (see Rob's announcement for an overview). This is a big milestone for us as we've been pushing really hard to get this out the door, especially the last couple weeks. This release includes a great set of new functionality as well as a bunch of other bug fixes and performance improvements. We've even already upgraded communityserver.org to run it so that everyone can see it in action on a live site.
But the thing about a beta release is that we need feedback. The more feedback we get, the better the final finished product will be. If you're currently running CS, we've even provided an upgrade tool to (hopefully) make the transition as smooth as possible. And if you're not running CS, now is a good time to take a look and let us know what you think.
The best place to leave feedback is the CS forums, but feel free to contact me through my blog as well and I'll see what I can do.
