A few days ago Josh Holmes, newly appointed RIA Architect Evangelist and one of the guys behind Code To Live, contacted me to do an interview about CodeKeep for the Code To Live show on MSDN's Channel 9. Naturally I agreed, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect because I was very close to pushing out a major CodeKeep upgrade and the add-in for VS 2008.
So with the interview scheduled for yesterday, I busted my hump the nights leading up to the interview because I didn't want to do the interview with the old stuff. Luckily I got everything done and released yesterday morning and did the interview yesterday afternoon. How's that for timing?
The interview went well and Josh is always great to talk to, but we ran into one major problem: Camtasia didn't record a single second of our session. Not one. Turns out it had an issue with some microphone setting and showed a popup box as we were getting started. In typical developer fashion, we both thought to just click OK without any regard to what the dialog box actually said, and hence, neither one of us noticed that Camtasia's recorder never started. So we had to do the interview all over again, but as fate would have it, I think it turned out better the second time :-)
Anyway, here's the video. It runs longer than I expected at just under 30 minutes, but turned out pretty well. You can tell I'm on the phone, but everything seems clear and the video quality is good. Just watch for the error and try not to make fun of me too bad ;-)
