For anyone who follows the Xbox platform, it's been obvious since it first hit the console that Gears of War would have a sequel (and most likely more than one). Finally, after months of speculation, Epic announced that the release date for Gears of War 2 will be November 2008.

This is certainly great news. Gears of War almost immediately became my favorite game. The single player campaign was awesome, and the multiplayer action was nonstop every night for about 4 months straight, even with all its frustrating glitches. So for GoW 2 to be on the way is welcome news indeed, not that I'm excited or anything ;-)
